‘Rest’, Ink and Cotton Thread on Paper, 2010.Sometimes cameras and ancient scanners seem incapable of capturing what is in front of them resulting in a slightly duller water downed version. This picture is a prime example, its so much more alive in person, honestly! Well that's just one of the ever present flaws of internet based views of work.
On the plus side this drawing was born out of my new obsession of combining a sewing machine and paper. It is an extremely addictive and satisfying sensation to sew into paper. It also allows me to increase my obsessions with triangles which is never a bad thing.
